Part of the team that won a Soroti University funded research project on AI for improved Maternal healthcare in Uganda

As a member of the research team consisting of research scientists from Soroti University, ISBAT and Islamic University in Uganda, we won a research grant to undertake a project on AI for improved maternal healthcare in Uganda. The project brings together experts from diverse disciplines including computer science, electrical and electronic engineering, information systems, medicine and surgery, signals and systems and GIS. This project leverages emrging technologies like AI to improve maternal healthcare and reduce motality rates in resource-contrained sub-saharan Africa, particularly Uganda. The output will be an AI-powered model that can predict maternal healthcare-related ailments among pregnant mothers. Keep checking here fo more updates.
